The months are progressing, and the France Identity application is also progressing. On August 13, 2025, the app gained a very practical feature for its users.
Even in the middle of summer, the developers of France Identity do not live off. The application, which makes it possible to store its various official documents (identity card, driving licence and registration card) has just been updated with a novelty which allows it to embrac a little more of the standards of 2025, namely a notification centre.
France Identity proposes a notification centre
No beta phase before this time, as was the case recently for the support of Ouigo train tickets, this novelty was deployed directly on the iOS and Android versions of France Identity.As its name indicates, this notification center makes it possible to group in a dedicated section the alerts sent directly within France Identity. Thus, clicking on the added bell at the top right of the interface (visible in the illustration image of this article) makes it possible, for example, to find an alert requesting renewal of a connection.
Indeed, if the application makes it possible to connect to a site using FranceConnect without having to take out your identity card (via Face ID, for example), after a certain time this connection may expire. It remains to be seen what other types of notifications France Identity may relay to its users. In any case, if this novelty does not revolutionize anything, it allows at least the very minimalist application to develop a little bit.
