All-Party Leaders Convene in Delhi for Key Meeting

The Indian government has convened an all-party meeting in New Delhi to update senior opposition leaders on recent developments concerning Operation Sindoor—India’s codename for its recent airstrike targeting areas in Pakistan.

According to the Indian government , the operation took place early Wednesday, during which nine locations in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir were targeted. Officials claim these sites were used for terrorist activities and were effectively neutralized.

In response, Pakistan acknowledged that only six locations were hit and denied India’s claims of hosting militant groups. The Pakistani government has also stated that it will respond to the strikes.

Since the operation was made public, various opposition leaders have voiced their backing for the government’s actions. Mallikarjun Kharge, leader of the Indian National Congress, expressed on social media that his party has consistently supported the armed forces and the government in taking strong measures against cross-border terrorism following the Pahalgam attack.
