After eight years of relationship, Andreea Marin officially announced her separation from diplomat Adrian Brîncoveanu. Invited in the show “La Măruță” on PRO TV, the star spoke openly and bluntly about the recent breakup.
“I’m free!”, said Andreea Marin, smiling, while Cătălin Măruță jokingly replied: “I’m asking for a friend!”. Her answer was just as firm: “Tell your friend that he has work to do!”
“Yes, we broke up! We talked about it! It was not pleasant for me to speak! I didn’t talk about it with pleasure! Thank you for getting caught and didn’t say anything!”, added the star, confirming the breakup that had already become the subject of speculation.
A mature decision, made in silence
For the Cancan website, Andreea Marin also provided a detailed statement in which she explained that the separation initiative belongs to her and that it was a difficult decision to make: “Yes, it’s true, I made this decision for a long time, but being a long-term relationship in which I was deeply involved, it was not an easy decision and I didn’t feel like talking about it. I prefer to continue to respect my privacy and thank you for your understanding,” she said.
Sources close to the two, quoted by News18.ro, claim that the main cause of the rupture was the distance. Adrian Brîncoveanu accepted the post of consul in Haifa, Israel, and his long absence would have led to tensions, jealousy and, finally, to separation.
The relationship with his daughter, a priority
In these moments, Andreea Marin focuses on her relationship with her daughter, Violeta, who supports her unconditionally.
The two appeared together on Cătălin Măruță’s show, and the star sent an emotional message to fans on Facebook: “Because we love each other without limits, we are always by each other’s side and we walk through life together. And if an ocean stands between us, it still cannot melt what binds us. Today, at 3 p.m., we will be on PRO TV, shoulder to shoulder. See you again! At Măruță.”
Adrian Brîncoveanu, retired to Mount Athos
After the separation became public, Adrian Brîncoveanu retired to Mount Athos, a place known for its tranquility and spirituality. On Instagram, he posted a photo and a cryptic message: “Coincidence is God’s way of remaining anonymous,” also mentioning the destination he is in.
A discreet story, built on respect
Andreea Marin and Adrian Brîncoveanu were together for eight years, forming one of the most discreet couples in Romanian showbiz.
The star has always been reserved in talking about her personal life, but over a year ago, she declared that she fits perfectly with her partner: “We are a very good match at this point and I think that’s why we are still together after 7 years and a bit and we continue to build,” Andreea said at the time.
She also mentioned that steadfastness and mutual support were the pillars of their relationship: “It’s very important to be a human actually, to be a friend to the other, it’s not just about attraction in a relationship.”
