PM Shehbaz Hails Armed Forces in Victory Speech

ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to defending its sovereignty, declaring that the nation would act as an unyielding barrier against any form of aggression. He praised the country’s armed forces for delivering a decisive and memorable response to recent hostilities.

“Whenever our sovereignty is challenged, the nation unites—resolute and determined,” the prime minister stated. He labeled the recent aggressive moves by India as outright acts of hostility and mentioned that while Pakistan had offered to support investigations into the Pahalgam incident, India had shown a lack of interest.

He went on to say that when India launched what he described as a cowardly attack, Pakistan’s military reacted swiftly and powerfully. The prime minister accused the Indian forces of targeting civilians with missile attacks, but emphasized that Pakistan’s defense forces not only prevented major damage but also delivered a swift and effective counter-strike.

Highlighting the retaliatory measures, he noted that India’s targeting of civilian areas left Pakistan with no choice but to respond militarily. “Diplomatic efforts failed, and the issue had to be addressed on the battlefield,” he explained. He also commended Pakistani pilots for outperforming India’s Rafale jets and delivering precise strikes that he claimed would be remembered in history.

The prime minister paid tribute to the leadership of the Army, Navy, and Air Force, and criticized India for provoking unnecessary conflict under the guise of the Pahalgam incident. He said Pakistan’s response conveyed a clear message: the nation’s resolve cannot be shaken.

He expressed gratitude to former U.S. President Donald Trump and leaders from the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, China, and other allied nations for their efforts in facilitating a ceasefire.

In conclusion, the prime minister extended special thanks to former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for his wisdom during the crisis, as well as President Asif Zardari for his guidance. He also acknowledged the vital role played by journalists and social media voices who stood in solidarity with the nation during these challenging moments.
